My Garden & Ingredients
I don’t care for chasing labels like “organic” or “clean” just for the sake of it.
For me, sourcing is about real intention. Knowing where everything comes from, working with small growers, farmers, and producers who care for the land as much as I do. Sure, I could plaster certifications everywhere, but I choose to focus on the reality behind them. Yes, my ingredients are either certified organic or naturally grown. What matters is that they are pure, untampered with, and free from contamination because too often, these labels are just a selling point, not a reflection of true care. Some of the most authentic, naturally grown ingredients come from farmers who can’t afford certifications, yet their practices are the most honest.
I source as directly as possible, whether from small farms in the U.S, from my trusted producers across the world, or from my own garden where I grow beautiful African marigolds and plan to cultivate more herbs, florals, and foods. My garden is more than just a place to grow, it was the beginning to a major shift that altered my perspective, made me realize how much we haven’t been exposed to and how vast and intricate life truly is. The ability to harvest with my own hands and infuse what I grow into my skincare was once a dream—now, it’s a reality and I’m more committed than ever to growing as many of my own botanicals as possible while still sourcing ethically.
There is something deeply grounding about working with plants, from seed to harvest, knowing that what I sow into the earth will grow, by God's will, and then meant to nourish not just me, but the life that surrounds.
Everything I use has a purpose. Every oil, every herb, every ingredient carries the essence of where it came from. This is not about certifications or industry buzzwords. It’s about connection. It’s about respect. It’s about using what is real.
